Tarac Field Kornati National Park Destination

Tarac was the first inhabited place on Kornati. It is a fertile field surmounted by a hill with a fortress on top of it. This fortress is called Tureta that originates from the 6th century. The church of Our Lady stands below the hill in between the field and a little bay. It was constructed on the foundations of an older church originally built also in the 6th century. Nowadays church originates from the late Middle Ages. From the top of the hill you can experience an astonishing panorama of Kornati archipelago.
