Travel restrictions in Croatia

First of all, Croatia is open to tourists.

EU/EEA Member States have the freedom to enter with a valid reservation arranged in advance.

For citizens of Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia or Slovak Republic, border crossing is unrestricted. They do not need to provide any reason for entry to Croatiaand they do not need to have a prearranged accomodation but they need to comply with general and special recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.

In order to shorten the procedure on border crossing points, nationals of the above 10 countries are advised to announce their visit by filling in the Enter Croatia online form.

All other foreigners may enter the country for business reasons, other economic interests or urgent personal reasons, if they provide relevant proof. Please note that once you receive confirmation that you may enter Croatia, you are advised to fill in the Enter Croatia online form

Keep in mind that staying with a friend is not a valid reason for entry. If you are coming to Croatia as a tourist or for personal reasons and are not a citizen of one of the ten countries who have been granted unrestricted access, but staying with a friend rather than in paid for and authorised tourist accommodation it seems that you will not be permitted entry.

Overall safety and hygiene measures, as well as social distancing are to be respected as required.
